The events industry could not function without the supporting infrastructure provided by companies such as GL events UK. It would be similarly dysfunctional without crewing companies such as Crewsaders, who lead the way in the UK and Europe, when it comes to the provision of crewing services.

Experienced and trusted, this organisation supplies expert crews to set up infrastructure for live events, which could be anything from high end retail product launches, to corporate events, to high profile sporting competitions.

Crewsaders delivered their first crewing project in 2008, shortly after they were founded by Managing Director, Jeremy Berryman. In 2010, the firm was the first-ever official crewing service to be in contract with the well-known Farnborough International Air Show. Since then, Crewsaders have been awarded the Best Crewing Company at the Event Production Awards, and by 2018 they had supplied services in six of seven continents across the world.

Understanding that crewing services are the backbone of the event industry, Crewsaders pride themselves on respect, quality and professionalism. With extensive international experience and a dedicated, qualified team, Crewsaders provide clients with in-depth industry knowledge and unrivalled finesse.

Operating from offices around the UK, Crewsaders have hubs in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow. With professionalism at its core, Crewsaders offers a diverse range of crewing services and solutions to several sectors. Services range from live event crews, to brand activations and experiential, to broadcast television, retail and private functions. Beyond their core provision, Crewsaders offer additional services, such as 24-hour security, promotional staff and health and safety advisors.

Mindful of ensuring a sustainable future for the events sector, Crewsaders embarked on an industry-first training course back in 2019, known as Get Into Events. This course is aimed at young individuals from a mixture of socio-economic backgrounds and allows attendees to learn the ropes of the event industry, bestowing them with both tangible and soft skills to improve their employment credentials. The course ran again in 2022, with a variety of individuals benefitting from exposure to the world of events.

The 'Get Into Events' training course offers young people a springboard to get into the events industry.

It is hoped that some of the individuals who successfully completed this course will go on to work on major events in the future; possibly on projects whereby GL events UK is the primary contractor.
